The themes of the call for papers were the following.
- The intergenerational transmission of inequality
- Ethnicity, immigration and social inequality
- The impact of globalisation on stratification processes and the importance of national versus European/global boundaries
- Educational systems, life long learning patterns and opportunities over the life course
- The social impact of demographic change
- The impact of flexible labour markets on individual life courses and on the welfare state
- Women’s employment, fertility and social care arrangements: European diversities
- Migration and social cohesion
Papers are invited that address these themes from different perspectives. We want to talk across traditional boundaries, including these we have set to ourselves within Equalsoc. Attention to the impact of enlargement, when relevant, is strongly welcomed.
