2006 Summer School

*SUMMER SCHOOL ON INEQUALITY AND SOCIAL COHESION

Trento, 4-9 September 2006*

The 2006 Summer School dealt with the relationships between social cohesion and social inequality, a common theme to all EQUALSOC Research Groups and a topic still widely debated in the social sciences.

The daily programme of the 2006 EQUALSOC Summer School was based on a plenary lecture, followed by a general discussion in the morning and, during the afternoon, by the presentation of students’ papers. The main lectures, general discussion and papers presentations was distributed over the six days as follows:

The lecturers and discussants were outstanding scholars who have extensively published on the subjects dealt with in the Summer School. Each lecturer provided a short list of compulsory readings, in order to help students to actively take part in the discussion.
