Dynamic and Multidimensional Perspectives on Income

This proposal seeks to bring together a number of different but related streams of work where members of the network have already made significant contributions, including: i) descriptive analysis of income and deprivation persistence profiles; ii) event history analysis of poverty dynamics; iii) analysis of the income poverty dynamics of individuals employing mover-stayer models and correcting for measurement error; iv) comparison of poverty and deprivation dynamics incorporating structural and measurement models; v) multi-dimensional analysis of social exclusion through use of factor analysis and latent class analysis; vi) addressing the implications of a dynamic and multi-dimensional perspective on social exclusion/inclusion for the development of social indicators; vii) developing the welfare balance sheet approach.
