The Equalsoc and ECSR joint Summer School will be held in Trento at the Conference Centre Panorama from the 23rd to 27th of August 2010. The summer school will be devoted to the analysis of public policies as stratification policies and the need for a social evaluation of public intervention.
Admission Procedures
The admission procedures will be the following:
- PhD students will be selected on the basis of an abstract of their papers and CVs.
- The abstract, CVs and applicant’s address must be submitted using the online application form.
- PhD students can present papers about any aspect related to the topic of the School. Papers can focus on any European nation, but comparative studies are also encouraged.
- PhD students are invited to apply to the Summer School.
- The deadline to send applications is the 31st of June 2010.
- Admitted PhD students should mail their full papers in a pdf format to g.cutuli@unitn.it
- The full paper must be received by the 7th of August 2010.
Costs
Equalsoc and ECSR will fund, following their own rules, the Ph.D. students coming from the respective institutions. All admitted PhD students will be granted of stay expenses by EqualSoc and ECSR funds. Those coming from an EqualSoc institution will also be refunded of their travel expenses taking into account that the deadline for reimbursement is the 31st August, provided that they do not exceed € 350. At this regard, it would be highly recommended to students returning from the Summer School to promptly submit their claim to home institutions as soon as possible. In alternative, given the short time span between the end of the School and the deadline for submission of reimbursement, participants are suggested to check the possibility to apply for reimbursement in advance by presenting the booking receipts of train / flight tickets.
Those coming from a non-EqualSoc institution should pay for their own travel expenses.
