Inequalities in immigrants' employment paths: longitudinal approach

The project aims to analyse the trajectories of new immigrants in the labour markets of new and old receiving countries in West Europe. In particular, we focus on transitions from unemployment to employment and vice versa. Our perspective would offer an unusual view of migrants’ insertion in the labour market as it aims to highlight the dynamics of it. The longitudinal approach, in fact, allow us to analyse the over-time “process” of incorporation, which is usually not taken into consideration by the literature, mainly characterised by a cross sectional approach.
